Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Candidate must be well organized, flexible, and able to work under pressure. Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in a group setting is essential. Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills are required. Proven organizational, time management and sound decision making skills. Excellent computer literacy and keyboarding skills are required. Must possess the ability to promote positive working relationships both within the department and with other health care providers. Must have good performance and attendance records. Actively promotes and participates in Alberta Health Services Code of Conduct and APL Values of Kindness, Inclusion, Innovation, Agility and Accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience in all facets of Microbiology preferred.
