Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Computer entry, processing, testing and reporting of diagnostic specimens. Excellent computer literacy and keyboarding skills are required. Excellent technical, analytical and problem solving skills are required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with patients and other health care providers required. Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting is required. Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Proven organizational, time management, and sound decision making skills. Reliable, dependable, and history of good attendance is required. Actively promotes and participates in Alberta Public Laboratories Code of Conduct and Values of Kindness, Inclusion, Innovation, Agility, and Accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience in Histology preferred. Preference given to candidate with strong anatomy knowledge. Experience in Immunohistochemistry testing is an asset.
