Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

One to two years of experience within the last five years in a diagnostic or Public Health bacteriology laboratory. Experience with the Cerner Millennium laboratory information system. Excellent computer skills including word processing, databases and spreadsheets. Familiarity with WHMIS and laboratory safety procedures. Extensive knowledge of bacterial identification protocols.
