Your Opportunity:

Working closely with the Director, Administrative Shared Services the position will support the overall Administrative Shared Services portfolio by ensuring services are provided in accordance with the Shared Services Agreement. The position will primarily be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities within the portfolio including areas such as Capital Management, Contracting, Procurement and Supply Management (CPSM), and Linen and Environmental Services (LES). The position will maintain the project plan and tracking for the portfolio. Engaging APL and AHS stakeholders across all service areas the position will ensure the effective delivery of services to support APL. When a service question or issue arises this position will work with the impacted areas to understand the issue/question and connect with the respective AHS teams to ensure resolution of any issues, engaging the Director as required. In addition to day-to-day coordination and problem solving, the position will play an important role supporting the overall contract management process by serving as the co-secretariat of the Contract Management Committee (CMC) which oversees the Services Agreement and Shared Services Agreement. This will include working with the AHS co-secretariat to develop CMC meeting agendas and ensure the applicable material is developed and submitted. The position will also support the Director by working with the service area pairs to ensure applicable reporting to the CMC. The position will also serve as a delegate for the Director at a number of service area working group meetings.There is flexibility as to the location of this position within the Province of Alberta. At the time of appointment the successful candidate may discuss location options with the hiring manager.

Description:

Coordinating day-to-day activities within the portfolio. Be a primary point of contact, and coordinate day-to-day activities and projects, in the areas of Capital Management, Linen and Environmental Services, and CPSM (including the APL point of contact for capital equipment purchases). Investigates, reviews, and analyzes a wide variety of issues within shared services and provides analytical expertise, advice, and business recommendations to support the resolution of any issues. Act as a subject matter expert and advisor on the Service Agreement, Shared Services Agreement, and any other related agreements to support APL operational and medical leadership with any questions they have related to the agreement. Member/delegate on a number of shared services working groups. Contract management committee co-secretariat. Supporting the CMC co-chairs, and working with the AHS secretariat, the position will develop CMC meeting agendas and ensure the applicable material is developed and submitted. The position will also support the Director by working with the service area pairs to ensure applicable reporting to the CMC. Monitoring and reporting. Monitors and develops metrics for the measurement of performance and assisting service area pairs in decision-making, and ensures CMC is able to assess delivery of the shared services agreement. Project planning and tracking. Engages in project management activities and provides leadership when required to ensure successful completion of special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in business, healthcare or related field (or combination of education and experience). 3-5 years in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex business issues. Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Health Administration (MHA). Project Management Professional (PMP) or Business Analysis certifications are considered an asset. Working in a shared services environment. Knowledge of a variety of support services such as CPSM, Capital Management etc. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Experience in a healthcare environment.
